ted kim

Born in Suwon, Korea — raised in Cupertino, California; Ted loved sharing Korean cuisine and culture with his friends at an early age, christening many to the gateway that is Korean BBQ. Upon studying economics and sociology at UC Irvine; he worked as an Account Manager and Strategist at Edelman, catering to Fortune 500 clients. He reaffirmed his affinity for his community and created a Korean BBQ cook-off festival in Koreatown, where he introduced Korean food to his fellow Angelinos. While not a chef by trade, Ted stays adamant to doing everything the right way and respecting the traditions and roots of a dish.

yong kim

Unlike most immigrants, the Kim family of four had no relatives nor extended family in America — this made Yong the honorary family kimchi taste tester. He found his first calling as a punk-pop guitarist with 3 other Korean Americans under the name “Nemo” while attending UC San Diego. 7 years in the corporate advertising world later, he found himself fitting his belongings in a Jeep Cherokee to set out with his brother Ted to bring Korean flavors to the masses. Yong now has a full house with his beautiful wife Janice and 3 kids — Olive, Cleo, Rocky. His favorite food is kkakkdoogee 깍두기 and always will be.
